Holy shit elementalists, youve got my vote!

Will comment in abit.

Vote=Elementalists

Car park
Was this unfinished? I couldn't quite tell. There was definitely some good stuff in there, i like the farri ride the most but i think it looks better with the ja227 cars thb. The car wash was a great idea for a splash battle, there were some interesting elements in there i like the water tank the most. Cop car chase, i know where inspiration came for this; Italian job stunt track. It was very good all though to be perfectly honest with you, i hated the supports, most of them didn't even connect. I liked the part on the silver blocks that was by far the most entertaining in the ride. Some good stuff in the whole park like the entrance, the construction of the farri coaster made me laugh a bit.
8.1/10

Devils and demons:
This was awesome!
The soldier ride was just totally insane, some of the stuff going on in that coaster was totally out of this world, i mean the ferris wheel supports, the water crossing, the trains splitting up, the invert at the bottom but most of all that big lift hill wheel thingy, dont what the hell that was, but anyway. Some great architecture in there too, i espcially liked the big building in the middle, dont know what it was but it looked good. The satrflywer was great, i loved the supports and the actuall height of it would give peeps a great view of the park. I never got gimme goblin to work but what was there was pretty good. All though i still think had this been finshed it would of been a hell of alot better. Especially the soldier coaster, that could be one of the most hacked rides that i've ever seen here.
9.6/10

Great work to both teams but i prefered evils and demons.

Ok so quite a tough match to decide for me to be honest. I either vote for structural genius in the Elementalists Park or the crazy ideas that I loved in the Flying Germans. I guess I'm going to have to look at them again before I decide but here are my comments so far.

Elementalists.
I love the fact you have all tackled fantasy themes throughout your parks. With a style of building so fantastic I actually thought you broke the rules and Tyandor had built for you. I know he obviously didn’t but congrats to the guy who did this stuff. I have an idea who did and I'm pretty positive it was him but congrats your structures were beautiful.
I'm not being lazy or anything but it was pretty annoying having to hack the ride so it opened. Call me old fashioned but following the worlds most tedious read-me to hack a ride that I didn't appreciate so much was pretty annoying. Maybe the enter button would have been best as scrolling across the widest read-me ever created for a lengthy time really doesn't hold your attention for very long.
Besides that I liked the statues you did but I thought some were pretty random. By this I mean you had Satans head above a building as guests entered through a structure, which was nice. A vampire on the top of a graveyard-Esq. entrance, that again was pretty nice. I thought a few other statues were just placed to fill room and stick out from some of the archy which didn't show much thought in the placement of some of the parks appeal. If more would have been placed around rides to interact with them then it would have served a purpose and created something even better.
I think you guys have done a good job. As I've said I haven’t decided on who has my vote yet. It's going to be a hard choice.

Flying Germans.
Well firstly I saw the overview and I thought the park would lose. I opened it and it reminded me how important ideas are. I prioritise ideas as they make a park fun and give more depth to the theme. This park certainly had those awesome ideas but you could have done SO MUCH more with the theme.
Amazing things I saw were indeed the carwash ride, genius yet I would have loved to see some rotating spinning tunnel pieces to boost the appeal that extra bit more. I also loved the layout and construction of Ferrari, it was different and I enjoyed that but yet again the idea could have been expanded so much more.
The bottom storey car park under the entrance was nice and pretty straight forward to execute. The quality was there and that was a nice touch.
Last but not least the crazy taxi ride. Loved the small layout and the colour choice was brilliance. The supports were effective and some of the ride elements like the ride name incorporated into the supports were really well done.

If I was going to say which park appealed to me more it would be the Germans. I can't ignore the fact that some aspects of the park seemed slightly unfinished and I also can't ignore how some of the ideas were not carried out to their full potential. Negative comments aside it was a pretty fun park and I loved viewing it. Some of the ideas involved were really good, I just wish some of the ideas were expanded on.

In conclusion . . . I'll vote later.

Devils and Demons:
I was really dissapointed the park wasn't finished. I did follow the readme (which was fucked up layout-wise also somehow), but I couldn't figure out what the ride was doing. The invert-stand-up was really nice, as was the river crossing, but before the top-hat the ride didn't do a thing, dunno if I did something wrong. I was not impressed that you did a somewhat religious theme again. That's the third Elementalists park with a religious theme this season! You had the Hellboy theme too, but imo it was too similar to the other parks. The execution was really awesome I must admit. Again I loved the statues, like the dragon and that snake - really cool. The archy in this whole park is really impressive. I loved all of it. You're definately the Gaudi of RCT wink.gif Reminded me totally of Tyandor. Nice work!

Car Park:
A park with a PAX-ride cannot lose IMO tounge.gif. Haha Joking aside - A very solid park. The traffic jam in front of the parking garage really adds to the park imo. The entrance area wasn't that nice, there were no fences bordering the park and the whole area didn't really looked very welcoming to me. I liked the splash battle ride. Really cool to have cars on it and theme it after a carwash - great idea! The foliage was perfect throughout the park. I really liked it. The Italian-Job style-ride was also executed pretty well. The only thing I didn't like was, that it was - as the Taxi ride - hacked pretty sloppy. You can achieve the same rides without those frequent brakedowns. But still the ride looked very nice, although you could have added a special effect scene like the real ride has. In some places the park looked unfinished - missing fences at some places, missing station at the Taxi ride...? The Taxi ride itself looked really cool. Wild Train is more or less my home park and so I love that ride very much. Your version's train is too long and the floating support isn't really necessary in that case. Still it's a very good attempt at a Pax coaster, I tried a recreation of the Austrian one once too... Not much to say about the construction site, pity it isn't finished, though...

I voted Germans.

Neither park really did much for me, but i could not see much concept in the elementalists park, other than it being about devils and demons with a few occaisional sculptures ... ? What i kinda disliked where the colours and shapes. I found it to be not visually pleasing at all.

The Germans park was more comprehensible. I liked the car park elevators and traffic on the roads. Nice idea. Also the cop car chase looked like a fun ride. The overall path layout was a little wacky though. Still the park i liked better of these two.

I can't decide yet..this one is tougher than I would have thought. From overview, I would have picked Elementalists, but now not sure. And if the Germans had the custom music for the car wash ....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMFBch9F780 I probably would have voted for you on that alone nod.gif

I'll have to post later after I decide.

Car Park:
+ PAX Coaster
+ Idea for the park
+ foliage
+ car wash splash battle
+ coaster layouts

- all supports, they look really bad
- architecture
- seems/(is?) unfinished

I'd say 6,5/10.

Devils & Demons:
+ architecture
+ landscaping
+ haunted mansion ride
+ foliage

- unfinishedness
- viewers have to do some things tounge.gif

Here I'd say 7,9/10.

These "reviews" are based on MY opinion tounge.gif

Elementalists:

I did like this park, it looked pretty cool, but I just couldn't get into it like I could with the Flying Germans.

Flying Germans:

I really liked this park. The whole highway system was cool with the cars, the Italian Stunt Job like coaster was pretty cool too as was Car Wash.

Overall, my vote goes to Car Park.

After further review, I'm going with the Germans car park. I absolutely loved the elementalists park too and I just feel they have been unlucky with the parks they were up against this year. Whoever did those sculptures in the park, those were amazing! Unfortunately, again, your park went up against another creative park with lots of nicely executed ideas. The car wash and the cop car chase and even the elevators..just a lot of cool ideas never used before that I'm aware of anyway. Nice job to both teams!

I think Car Park might be the funniest name i've heard. For some reason it really tickles me.

The gulf in quality between builders in Elementalist's park is massive. However, the good parts almost make up for the bad parts. The haunted mansion ride is the best of it's type i've ever seen, by far.

I haven't decided who i'm voting for yet.

Car Park wins for me. The Elementalists park was good but it was not as good in some parts and you noticed those parts. However Car Park is cleanly presented, has a fun atmosphere, and is easier on the eyes. In Car Park, the ferrari coaster, when complete, is very well done. Props for the PAX coaster, too. The concept is just jovial.

My vote went to Car Park.

Both parks were good in their own way. I liked a lot of the ideas in the Elementalists park, and the sculptures were awesome, the architecture, while neat, was a bit hard to follow due to it being so massive. In the end it was unfinished and your star attraction didn't work. That really brought the park down for me.

The Germans park could have been executed a lot better, but it was great for what it was. There were plenty of cool ideas throughout the park that held my attention for a while. It was cool giving 'Ferrari - The Ride' its first test run even if it barely made it up to the brake run. These smaller full parks are great, and what the bronze/silver/gold is really for. I hope the community starts building some of these in the free time for accolades instead of building massive solos that never get finished or design after design.

Devils and Demons:

I love the atmosphere in the finished part, it's very dark. The sculptures were amazing too. As mentioned before, the architecture reminded me of Tyandor, but actually I think this is better. I want a huge park in this style, finished. It's just too good to be left like this on a small map.

Car Park was gray and a little bare, but there are some good ideas. I love the innovative inversions on the coaster, I would have never thought of that. Brilliant.

If I could vote, I think it would be for the Elementalists although I may be biased in a negative way. I've seen Car Park grew, so it didn't have any impact. If I wasn't on this team, maybe it would've got impact.

Also, if you don't have time to finish a park, and make a ride work, don't tell everyone how to do it in the readme. How is that any different from me turning in an unfinished park, and then leaving detailed instructions as to what scenery to place where to make it look more complete?

I appreciate the effort taken, but I don't think it should have been allowed.

For me, it was Car Park by a long shot. The only thing that might have held my interest in D&D was the main coaster, which didn't even work and I'm not going to be bothered to try to get it to work. Call me lazy but that's not my job. Car Park was entertaining and, well, I can't think of another word to describe it besides 'cool.'

3 parks relating to Heaven, Hell, Religion, Demons, and whatnot.
And 2 parks related to some type of war invasion plot.

Fantasy can be expanded beyond these overly serious ideas and it's really getting kind of boring, especially after seeing The Testament done so well.

Anyway, I'm really a fan of Car Park, and that's where my vote will go.

Voted for the Elementalists

I just was not feeling the car park. Way to simple imo and the peeps seemed like an after thought (same with D&D tho). Also the crazy taxi had no station, come on. 6.3/10

D&D was neat, was Turtle said the ghost train was really good, its station was amazing. The park remined me of Tyandors work in some places which was nice. I liked the details too. Just the main ride being hard to run was annoying. I guess this will be the last Elementalist park this season which sucks as we will not see combos like Xcoaster/Levis/JiMeMo or Milo and Roomie kicking some LL ass. 7.2/10 good work and thanks for trying your best this season even if you did get shafted a few times.

heh thanks for the kind words although you wouldn't have seen any more work from me this season... I wasn't in line to do any finals parks

I guess at the very least we were more reliable than most probably figured, this was our only noticably unfinished park and overall I'd say we finished some quality stuff

good luck to the teams who make it to the finals

I voted Car Park. I thought the concept was great, and whilst the execution was lacking, the park as a whole offered more. The traffic jam and actual car park itself was really nicely done and added to the atmosphere immediately. The actual park was a tad bare and had nowhere near enough rides - but the concept was there - and the few rides in the park were pulled off really well; Crazy Taxi, the Cop Car Chase, Car Wash. Ferrari coaster not so much, but oh well.

The Elementalists' park -- bored of the 'religious' themes concept. There was SOME good stuff in here, but the main reason for not voting for this was that there was one (unoperational) coaster in the park. As I've said before, RCT for me is first and foremost about the rides - and specifically the coasters. The only 'worthwhile' coaster in the park was unoperational. And yes you gave me a (poorly-designed) read-me to actually get it operational, but having seen how many steps were involved, I just don't have the time to work through all of that just to see what didn't look like an amazing ride anyway.

Yeah the elementalists have successfully produced awesome fantasy parks! Your first two weeks were really unlucky but it just shows what a good team you were completing every park you had to awesome standards no matter where you were placed on the points table.

that haunted house on the elementalist's map is fucking brilliant along with the statues and sculptures. unfortunately it was the only thing to truly hold my attention. the cool tower thing was pretty nifty too, i guess. however, i really enjoyed the car park. great ideas here and it looked very clean and tidy which i think echoes the park's idea nicely. great rides as well; i thought the crazy taxi was pulled off wonderfully and the colors were slick. the only thing i did not like about this park is that about 3/4 of it was basically under construction so i'm not sure if you were just pressed for time or just got lazy or if it was purely intentional. still kinda cool i guess. well done to both teams, but the flying germans edge this by far.
